Doug was born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He's a graduate of the University of Tennessee Business and Law Schools. He loves SEC football and UT football in particular. He served as a civil trial attorney for five years before being called to pastoral ministry. Doug received his M. Div. degree from Regent College in Vancouver, British Columbia, which is also where he met his wife Jasona. Jasona grew up in Washington and Alaska. She and Doug enjoy a "cross-cultural" marriage, and the Lord has blessed them with three children, Hannah, Audrey, and Jonathon.
Before being called as our Sr. Pastor in August, 2002, Doug served as an associate pastor for five years in Atlanta, Georgia. In addition to his family, Doug's passions in ministry are equipping God's people to become all that He has purposed them to be. He has a special love to see men grow into faithful Christ-followers, who partner with the Lord to extend His kingdom.
The Lord has used Doug's own personal experience with brokenness and failure to birth through him a ministry of healing in which people are set free to wholeheartedly love the Lord and one another. He believes God's love and power are best experienced in the community of a local church anchored in God's Word and empowered by the Holy Spirit.
